The City of Madera Aquatics program offers a great way for residents to beat the heat! Come experience the positive energy and safe fun that our facility and staff provide to swimmers of all ages. Swimming lessons are available during Summer months.
The City of Madera Centennial Pool Complex at 4th and Flume Street has a wading pool, recreational pool and diving pool for the enjoyment of the community. The aquatic program is structured to emphasize swim skill development, promote personal water safety, and provide health and exercise, and serve as a venue for social interaction. The Centennial Pool Complex has shaded picnic table areas, restroom facilities, and is located adjacent to the John W. Wells Youth Center.
Families, groups, and individuals are encouraged to swim during designated recreational swim times in a supervised atmosphere.

It's hard to have a pool party without a pool. We get it! The Centennial Pool Complex can be rented out for private parties. The maximum capacity for pool rentals is 150.

Saturdays - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. | 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Sundays - 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. | 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

As part of our Aquatics Program, we offer comprehensive course levels that teach participants how to swim skillfully and safely. The prerequisite for each level is successful demonstration of the skills taught in the preceding level. Beginners start at the Starfish level, which has no prerequisites, and progress through the classes in the following order: Tadpoles, Goldfish, Sharks, and Dolphins. Each wave consists of ten 30-minute lessons (with the exception of wave 2 due to the 4th of July).

A private swimming lesson is one 45-minute lesson of one-on-one instruction to meet the personal needs of students of all abilities. Students can register for a series of lessons or individually (minimum of two individual lessons required when registering). Unless instructors are requested to teach specific skills, students will be tested during their first private lesson and are taught skills based on our normal learn-to-swim progressions.
